Just metal to glass I believe.ģ) Rear doors have 3.125" of mounting depth WITHOUT any spacer/the factory ring. 5sqft minimum on each front door minimum.Ģ) Front doors have 3.25" of mounting depth WITHOUT any spacer/the factory ring. Right at 36sqft to do the trunk minus the hatch. So if you want to do everything minus the roof, you'll need more than 72sqft for sure. I did not do the roof, right rear door or the hatch at all (more on the way) and I feel I short changed the other three doors a little bit. It was a pain in the ass compared to many other center consoles I've removed.ġ) I used 72sqft of deadener in these pictures. There's also two 10mm bolts at the front of the center console just behind the gear shifter. The rear panel with the cig socket pops out. There is one 10mm bolt on each side of the rear of the center console. Honestly, I'm not sure that part is required because at this point I was removing everything I could to get that damn console out. That exposes a screw that you can remove and then remove the HVAC control panel. Once you get the left side off, you'll see picture #2. I think there's a couple screws under the gear shifter panel which releases the passenger side. But I do know you have to remove both side panels that would be at the driver's and passenger's ankle/knee area. Mine was on very tight and I know it was pretty darn close to cracking. The first step is to gently pop the ring around the gear shifter off.

Well it turns out there's a quick release on them. But there's two that are tough to get to and one that's practically impossible to reach with the seat attached. For the 60/40 split seat back, I thought you'd just be able to unbolt the large torx bolts holding the brackets and get it out. The metal brackets on the front of them that are plainly visible and that's it. The seat bottoms are obvious and easy enough. But you're not getting the carpet out without that. The cut is under the center console and nobody will ever see it. In order to remove the carpet at the point in the picture I posted above, you have to lift the center console as high as you can, get a sharp razor blade in there and make a cut across it right below where the gear selector shaft goes under the car/into the transmission. The carpet runs all under the center console and there's a couple holes cut out for things to pass through. You CANNOT remove the entire carpet piece from the car without disconnecting the gear selector from the transmission. I did indeed end up removing those front footwell styrofoam pieces and getting under there too.
